Our Approach to Early Learning

At Little Preschool on the Prairie, we believe in the power of hands-on learning and natural exploration. Our half-day program is designed to foster independence, curiosity, and strong social connections, preparing your child for the next steps and a lifetime of learning and growth.

Programs and Philosophy

Explore our carefully crafted half-day program that emphasizes outdoor play, practical life skills, and collaborative activities. Our philosophy centers on child-led learning, allowing each child to discover and grow at their own pace.

Outdoor Play

We engage children with nature through exploration and discovery on our tranquil 3 acres.  Its common to see kids in our care barefoot outside, digging in sand or mud, rolling in the grass, observing insects, or daydreaming with the clouds.

Self-Help Skills

We foster independence and confidence through daily routines and personal care tasks scaffolded to meet children where they are while also striving to help them fulfill their potential.

Social Skills

We work tirelessly to develop the skills of empathy, communication, and cooperation as well as the ability to label and regulate emotions.

Empowered Learning

We encourage curiosity and critical thinking through child-led play and discovery.  We have opportunities for structured and open learning allowing students to succeed in multiple settings.
